HOW TO USE ACTIVE SENTENCE AND
PASSIVE SENTENCE PAST FORM
In the active voice, do something is the subject of
the sentence and anything that receives the action is the object. Most of the
sentences in the English language is an active sentence. Subject/something action] + [Verb/kata kerja] + [Object/ Something to receive act]
- Example : The teacher(Subject) teachs(Verb) the students(Object)
In the
passive voice, something that receives the action is the subject of the
sentence and something to take action (optional, can be written or not) written
near the end of a sentence. We can use the passive voice if we think that
something that receives the action is more important or should be emphasized to
the listener. we can also use the passive voice if we don't know who is doing
the action or if we don't to mention who is doing the action. [Something receiving action] + [be] + [past
participle (verb 3) of the verb] + [by] + [something actions]
- Example : The students(Subject) are(be) taught(verb3) by the teacher.
